Fucking Brokaw is one crazy nigger.
My drinkwords for this debate were: My friends, change, economy, iran, pow, and senator.
turns out "senator" was a baaaaaaad idea.
I'm just lucky I didn't pick "earmark" or something. I'd be dead. As it stands I finished the latter half of my apple schnapps (I started the schnapps in the VP debate) and took a good chunk out of my pineapple rum.
The worst part? Most of the stuff I drank was because of Brokaw. Tommy was all over this debate. He was yelling at everyone and was really mad at McCain for being in his shot. Politics rule.

Ok guys, I think I have my con schedule for 2008 mostly done.
ROFLcon April 25-26th: I wouldn't miss this shitshow for the world. Internet jokes and other such things are making a show at Harvard. There will be moot, icanhascheezburger, and other lame-os, as well as an extremely awesome musical performance. Watch out for all the anons going.
Animyu Boston March 21-23rd: Should I even bother paying for this crap?
Anthrocon: ACTUALLY I CAN'T GO TO ANTHROCON BECAUSE A FRIEND OF MINE IS GETTING HIS ASS MARRIED THAT WEEKEND. THANKS A LOT TIM, FOR KILLING ROCK AND ROLL.
Furfright October 17-19th: My turf. Cakecon '010 representing.
Another Anime Con October 17-19th ALSO?!?!?!?!: A con in my hometown that I want to troll SO FUCKING BAD, but I can't since I have to go to dumb old FF.
Also, fuck the weather.

Went and saw RAMBO yesterday. RAMBO was really amazingly bad. Bad acting, bad special effects, bad action, bad EVERYTHING. You should all see it. RAMBO is super jacked and murders so many Asian people! There is not a single black character for some reason! RAMBO screams "WHO ARE YOU?!?" in the faces of several people! RAMBO rips a dude's throat out in front of his love interest! RAMBO pops up behind people like Jaws or something! RAMBO turns into an American Indian at the end! RAMBO causes a missionary to realize that the power of god is no match compared to hitting your enemies in the head with a rock!
*spoiler alert* Boatman does not stay in the fucking boat. *spoiler alert*
*double secret spoiler alert* In the upcoming film "Harold And Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay": Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay. *double secret spoiler alert*
Also, I know I've been posting a lot of youtube stuff lately, but here's one more and it's SO WORTH IT to watch to the end.
Lastly, I bought a top hat on Saturday. I like it.

Say Hi To Your Mom - As Smart as Geek Is Chic Right Now |
] |
So I went and saw that movie Cloverfield. It was actually really effing good. Had some problems, admittedly. The monster's size wasn't as clear as I'd liked, the narrative was a little hard to follow time line-wise due to the frequent use of jump cuts over undisclosed periods of time, and the camera work (although realistic and adding to the mood of the film) got really annoying after a while.
Otherwise, a quite good film. It asked me several times to suspend my disbelief and I was more than happy to oblige it. The characters, while annoying, were entirely believable, I thought. Even the incessantly talking Hud (the film's cameraman) grew on me after a while and reminded me of several people I can think of. As someone who followed the viral marketing campaign of the film relatively closely, I'm rather glad there weren't too many readily apparent answers. The film resisted the urge to tie itself up like a pretty little package at the end, which I think dissatisfied a lot of the people in the particular theater I saw it in. Even seeing the monster is not something you take for granted. The only time you actually ever see the thing clearly is at the very end of the film, at a time I thought was pretty much perfect as far as reveals go. There's plenty to speculate about even for those who don't know the viral marketing details, and believe me you'll do plenty of speculating, it's pretty much half of the fun. In conclusion: GO SEE THAT MOVIE.
Also, The Orphanage was mediocre.

Three words to go down in history: Bosstones at Lupos.
Probably one of the best shows I've ever seen, 3 amazing/legendary Boston bands (and some jokers named Zox who I also enjoyed). Got Dicky Barrett and Mike McColgan to sign my hat, that thing's getting closer and closer to retirement. Partied afterward, dancing and drinks. Strange folks down there in Providence, I must say I get along better with Bostonians.
Only ran into one crazy dude on the streets of Providence, he had a balloon tied to his belt that he claimed fags put there, then later he claimed it was for his daughter. He came up to me as I was sitting on a curb and said "Hey, want to see me make some money? I'm gonna jump on the hood of a car!" but then never did it.
2007 was pretty interesting, not in an entirely bad way either. I am entrusting you people (who are my friends) with the task of helping me make 2008 more awesomer than previously imagined! I think that my New Year's resolution this year is to WEAR MORE WHITE JEANS. And maybe get myself one of those new-fangled "girlfriends" my associates at work are always talking about having.

I have concerns about how necessary this is, and how lame it could end up, but I'm still going (mainly to propose marriage to Leslie Hall and see if I can get a freestyle going with Group X). I like how a website made by Harvard students/staff (presumably) has such little usability. There's not even a registration form yet. Also, why isn't Max Goldberg of ytmnd fame on the guest list?
Who else wants to go see Caturday get over-intellectualized? It could be fun, we'll tear up the joint. If anyone else wants to don some fros and close whatever they have resembling a pool, I'm game.
Gotta think of something awesome to cosplay as. Some sort of ytmnd fad character would be easy enough, but maybe something more meta is in order. ADVISE ME PLEASE.

Seriously. I wrecked my car up in the first snow of the season.
ALSO I got a 100$ ticket because I was technically at fault.
I hit a lady with a yappy dog, the dog and the lady were fine. She hit a Columbian dude who was wicked cool and had a mohawk. I'm gonna get so screwed by this it's not even funny!
[EDIT]The air bags both deployed, which makes me smell like I'm on fire. It's hard to get off.
